To avoid gestational diabetes in pregnancy

Gestational diabetes is high blood sugar levels in pregnancy and goes away after pregnancy.

Chances to get gestational diabetes in pregnancy are :

• overweight, high BP in previous history or family history.

• pcod

• too much weight gain during pregnancy

• stress, tension, overthinking, lack of sleep during pregnancy.

• age above 25 who become pregnant.

• miscarriage in previous history.

• dehydration

• vitamin d deficiency

These may cause complications in baby's health and doctors prefer c - section .

With pcod I got pregnancy so I strictly followed almost diabetic diet throughout pregnancy.

GCT(Glucose Challenge Test)  done at 7th month . GCT should be < 140 mg/dl and I got 157.

Fasting Plasma Glucose  & 2hrs Post Lunch Plasma Glucose tests are normal to me.

So GCT little bit variation. Doctor told me this is normal but should take care more and follow diabetic diet as I am following from beginning . Doctor adviced me to check daily or alternative days sugar test at home  and I reported for every three weeks. I checked before breakfast and after 1hour of lunch result should be < 140 . At starting three or four times I got above 140 so I observed that and corrected myself.

✓When I'm in tension or overthinking or stress my bp levels raising automatically sugar levels also raising.

✓When I eat fully, sugar level raising above 140.

✓After breakfast/lunch/dinner when I lay immediately on bed  sugar levels raising.

So I followed these things to avoid gestational diabetes ::

✓✓ Walking 10 mins slowly after breakfast, Lunch and dinner.

✓✓ Meditation

✓✓ Drinking alot of water

✓✓ listening devotional songs or speeches

✓✓ Reading positive affirmations  in my notes. I wrote this to motivate myself.

✓✓ Daily seeing sunrise and sunset and this refreshes me alot.

✓✓ Followed almost diabetic diet.

✓✓ Eating small small meals . I divided my meals I took small amounts.

✓✓ In pregnancy sleeping disturbances common so whenever I didn't get sleep I make a habbit of walking for 10 to 30 mins in room itself daily 2times during night.

✓✓ Daily weight checking . I gained only 13 kgs in pregnancy.

✓✓ Talk to baby

Pain gradually increasing for every hour and I already tuned my mind that I have to face this beautiful experience happily and welcome my baby with smiling face.
